# Armasight vs Athlon Ballistics

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Armasight at 50% against Athlon Ballistics's 16%. Armasight also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Athlon Ballistics's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.4) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Athlon Ballistics holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Athlon Ballistics has 45 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Armasight's written reviews are positive against 16% of Athlon Ballistics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Armasight ships an update every 3 months, Athlon Ballistics monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
