# SmartTagIt vs Sitemetric

The clearest difference is rating: Sitemetric at 4.8 against SmartTagIt's 3.8. SmartTagIt's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sitemetric holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of SmartTagIt's written reviews are positive against 50% of Sitemetric's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartTagIt ships an update fortnightly, Sitemetric every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
