# General Trivia vs Play IPTV Player

The clearest difference is rating: General Trivia at 5.0 against Play IPTV Player's 4.5. Play IPTV Player's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (64 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. General Trivia sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Play IPTV Player sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

General Trivia holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Play IPTV Player has 64 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

General Trivia ships an update every 11 months, Play IPTV Player every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
