# Magic vs Grimoire

The clearest difference is update cadence: Grimoire at every 10 days against Magic's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Grimoire sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic ships an update monthly, Grimoire every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
