# HealthMon vs Step Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Step Tracker at 4.6 against HealthMon's 3.9. Step Tracker also leads on ratings volume (177 vs 9). HealthMon's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. HealthMon sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Step Tracker sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Step Tracker has 177 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of HealthMon's written reviews are positive against 74% of Step Tracker's.

HealthMon ships an update weekly, Step Tracker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
