# Soul vs Nico

The clearest difference is rating: Soul at 4.6 against Nico's 2.6. Soul also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (10K vs 99). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soul sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Nico sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Soul holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Soul has 10K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Soul's written reviews are positive against 34% of Nico's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Soul ships an update weekly, Nico monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
