# Soul vs Classic

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Classic at 83% against Soul's 28%. Classic also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Soul's advantage is ratings volume (10K vs 1) and chart position (#114 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soul sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Classic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Classic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Soul has 10K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of Soul's written reviews are positive against 83% of Classic's.

Soul ships an update weekly, Classic fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
