# L.A. Baseball vs ESPN LA

The clearest difference is review sentiment: L.A. Baseball at 67% against ESPN LA's 39%. L.A. Baseball also leads on iOS requirement (14.5 vs 16.6). ESPN LA's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 14) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ESPN LA holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ESPN LA has 1.5K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of L.A. Baseball's written reviews are positive against 39% of ESPN LA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

L.A. Baseball ships an update every 20 months, ESPN LA every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
