# Spades Mobile vs Spades!

The clearest difference is rating: Spades Mobile at 4.4 against Spades!'s 2.5. Spades Mobile also leads on update cadence (every 8 months vs every 34 months) and ratings volume (177 vs 10). Spades!'s advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (17% vs 0%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spades Mobile sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Spades! asks for nothing beyond the download.

Spades Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spades Mobile has 177 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Spades Mobile's written reviews are positive against 17% of Spades!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spades Mobile ships an update every 8 months, Spades! every 34 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
