# Minn Kota i vs HeatSync App

Minn Kota i and HeatSync App both sit at 2.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of HeatSync App's written reviews are positive against 13% of Minn Kota i's. HeatSync App also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Minn Kota i's advantage is ratings volume (58 vs 6) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Minn Kota i holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minn Kota i has 58 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Minn Kota i's written reviews are positive against 50% of HeatSync App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Minn Kota i ships an update every 6 months, HeatSync App every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
