# TTLock vs SmartKey

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SmartKey at 100% against TTLock's 25%. SmartKey also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). TTLock's advantage is rating (2.9 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (551 vs 2). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TTLock holds the better App Store score, 2.9 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TTLock has 551 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of TTLock's written reviews are positive against 100% of SmartKey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TTLock ships an update every 3 weeks, SmartKey every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
