# SelectaSign vs Light Attendant

The clearest difference is rating: Light Attendant at 4.0 against SelectaSign's 3.7. SelectaSign's advantage is update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Light Attendant holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of SelectaSign's written reviews are positive against 75% of Light Attendant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SelectaSign ships an update every 3 months, Light Attendant every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
