# QLess vs Proper Cannabis

QLess and Proper Cannabis both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 77% of Proper Cannabis's written reviews are positive against 50% of QLess's. Proper Cannabis also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). QLess's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (12K vs 1.3K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for QLess against 4.8 for Proper Cannabis. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QLess has 12K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of QLess's written reviews are positive against 77% of Proper Cannabis's.

QLess ships an update every 2 months, Proper Cannabis every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
