# Just Press Record vs DVR Link

The clearest difference is price: DVR Link at Free against Just Press Record's $6.99. DVR Link also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.6). Just Press Record's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.5) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 8). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

DVR Link is free to download; Just Press Record costs $6.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Just Press Record holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Just Press Record has 1.5K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Just Press Record's written reviews are positive against 67% of DVR Link's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Just Press Record ships an update every 5 weeks, DVR Link weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
