# BlinkBook vs Globe

The clearest difference is ads: Globe at none against BlinkBook's shown. Globe also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). BlinkBook's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 52%) and ratings volume (74 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Globe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlinkBook has 74 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of BlinkBook's written reviews are positive against 52% of Globe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
