# BlinkBook vs Bugali

The clearest difference is ads: Bugali at none against BlinkBook's shown. Bugali also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). BlinkBook's advantage is ratings volume (67 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bugali holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlinkBook has 67 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BlinkBook ships an update every 2 months, Bugali fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
