# altimeter professional vs Altimeter ∞ Elevation GPS

The clearest difference is rating: Altimeter ∞ Elevation GPS at 4.6 against altimeter professional's 4.0. Altimeter ∞ Elevation GPS also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 67 months) and ratings volume (1K vs 25). altimeter professional's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (61% vs 50%).
