# Brivo Mobile Pass vs NeedlePointer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NeedlePointer at 100% against Brivo Mobile Pass's 29%. NeedlePointer also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Brivo Mobile Pass's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (167K vs 8). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NeedlePointer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Brivo Mobile Pass asks for nothing beyond the download.

Brivo Mobile Pass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brivo Mobile Pass has 167K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Brivo Mobile Pass's written reviews are positive against 100% of NeedlePointer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Brivo Mobile Pass ships an update every 2 weeks, NeedlePointer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
