# FFCV vs RFCYLF

The clearest difference is rating: FFCV at 4.5 against RFCYLF's 3.3. FFCV also leads on ratings volume (43 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). RFCYLF's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FFCV sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per year and RFCYLF sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FFCV holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FFCV has 43 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
