# Raptor ID vs HoodMaker

The clearest difference is rating: HoodMaker at 5.0 against Raptor ID's 4.5. HoodMaker also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Raptor ID's advantage is ratings volume (44 vs 1) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HoodMaker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raptor ID has 44 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
