# Kasa Smart vs Petlibro

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kasa Smart at 82% against Petlibro's 13%. Kasa Smart also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (80K vs 7.4K). Petlibro's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kasa Smart sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Petlibro sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kasa Smart holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kasa Smart has 80K ratings behind it against 7.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Kasa Smart's written reviews are positive against 13% of Petlibro's.

Kasa Smart ships an update every 3 weeks, Petlibro weekly. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
