# Cross vs Patching

Both are free to download. Cross sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Patching asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cross ships an update every 3 weeks, Patching every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
