# Toy Train 3D vs Train Simulator

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Toy Train 3D at none against Train Simulator's 10. Toy Train 3D also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 64%). Train Simulator's advantage is ratings volume (5.3K vs 10) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Train Simulator sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Toy Train 3D asks for nothing beyond the download.

Train Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Train Simulator has 5.3K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Toy Train 3D's written reviews are positive against 64% of Train Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Toy Train 3D ships an update every 6 weeks, Train Simulator every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
