# Spicker vs Adopt

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Adopt at 100% against Spicker's 45%. Adopt also leads on price (Free vs $1.99) and rating (5.0 vs 3.0). Spicker's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 40 months) and ratings volume (25 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Adopt is free to download; Spicker costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Adopt holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spicker has 25 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 45% of Spicker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Adopt's.

Spicker ships an update every 4 months, Adopt every 40 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
