# BrainFights vs AcademyNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: AcademyNote at every 3 months against BrainFights's every 11 months. BrainFights's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainFights sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AcademyNote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BrainFights ships an update every 11 months, AcademyNote every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
