# Spinner+ vs Today

The clearest difference is monetization model: Spinner+ at free against Today's free with in-app purchases. Spinner+ also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). Today's advantage is ratings volume (27 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spinner+ sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Today sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Spinner+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Today has 27 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Spinner+'s written reviews are positive against 82% of Today's.

Spinner+ ships an update every 6 weeks, Today every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
