# TruckChat vs CDLLife

The clearest difference is ads: CDLLife at none against TruckChat's shown. CDLLife also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (3.5K vs 1). TruckChat's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TruckChat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CDLLife has 3.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of TruckChat's written reviews are positive against 50% of CDLLife's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TruckChat ships an update every 8 months, CDLLife fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 2, 2026.
