# Discogs vs GHQ App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GHQ App at 100% against Discogs's 40%. GHQ App also leads on monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). Discogs's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (monthly vs every 6 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Discogs holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Discogs has 67K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Discogs's written reviews are positive against 100% of GHQ App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Discogs ships an update monthly, GHQ App every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
