# Rocketbook App vs MSTm

The clearest difference is monetization model: MSTm at free against Rocketbook App's free with in-app purchases. MSTm also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.4). Rocketbook App's advantage is ratings volume (31K vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MSTm holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rocketbook App has 31K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rocketbook App ships an update every 6 weeks, MSTm every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
