# Bulbshare vs Rocky

The clearest difference is ads: Rocky at none against Bulbshare's shown. Rocky also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Bulbshare's advantage is ratings volume (223 vs 46). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bulbshare holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 223 and 46 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Bulbshare's written reviews are positive against 87% of Rocky's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bulbshare ships an update monthly, Rocky every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
