# StepsApp Pedometer vs StepUp

The clearest difference is ads: StepUp at none against StepsApp Pedometer's shown. StepUp also leads on update cadence (daily vs every 6 days). StepsApp Pedometer's advantage is ratings volume (303K vs 2) and chart position (#28 vs unranked). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepsApp Pedometer sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and StepUp sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StepUp holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StepsApp Pedometer has 303K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

StepsApp Pedometer ships an update every 6 days, StepUp daily. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
