# Minesweeper Lv99 vs Minesweeper

The clearest difference is ads: Minesweeper Lv99 at none against Minesweeper's shown. Minesweeper Lv99 also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Minesweeper's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minesweeper Lv99 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Minesweeper sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minesweeper Lv99 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Minesweeper has 23 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Minesweeper Lv99's written reviews are positive against 100% of Minesweeper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Minesweeper Lv99 ships an update every 2 months, Minesweeper weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
