# BrideScan vs Couplr

BrideScan and Couplr both sit at 1.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 55% of BrideScan's written reviews are positive against 3% of Couplr's. BrideScan also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). Couplr's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 4). On price, rating and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Couplr sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. BrideScan asks for nothing beyond the download.

Couplr holds the better App Store score, 1.7 against 1.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of BrideScan's written reviews are positive against 3% of Couplr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrideScan ships an update every 2 months, Couplr every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
