# SalonCentric vs PhorestGo

The clearest difference is monetization model: PhorestGo at free against SalonCentric's free with in-app purchases. PhorestGo also leads on review sentiment (35% vs 13%). SalonCentric's advantage is ratings volume (37K vs 3K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SalonCentric against 4.8 for PhorestGo. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SalonCentric has 37K ratings behind it against 3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 13% of SalonCentric's written reviews are positive against 35% of PhorestGo's.

SalonCentric ships an update monthly, PhorestGo fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
