# Wapp vs Klappið

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Klappið at none against Wapp's 24. Klappið also leads on rating (3.3 vs 2.8) and ratings volume (157 vs 13). Wapp's advantage is review sentiment (33% vs 11%) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wapp sells 24 one-off in-app purchases. Klappið asks for nothing beyond the download.

Klappið holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Klappið has 157 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Wapp's written reviews are positive against 11% of Klappið's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wapp ships an update every 3 weeks, Klappið every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
