# AceSAT vs Dolphin

The clearest difference is update cadence: Dolphin at every 2 weeks against AceSAT's every 28 months. Dolphin also leads on ratings volume (1.4K vs 8) and chart position (#164 vs unranked). AceSAT's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 85%) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for AceSAT against 4.8 for Dolphin. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dolphin has 1.4K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of AceSAT's written reviews are positive against 85% of Dolphin's.

AceSAT ships an update every 28 months, Dolphin every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
