# Clean Text vs RawText

The clearest difference is rating: Clean Text at 4.6 against RawText's 3.0. Clean Text also leads on ratings volume (205 vs 2). RawText's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clean Text sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. RawText asks for nothing beyond the download.

Clean Text holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clean Text has 205 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Clean Text's written reviews are positive against 100% of RawText's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Clean Text ships an update every 4 months, RawText every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
