# Clean Text vs Takt

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Takt at 100% against Clean Text's 60%. Takt also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 months). Clean Text's advantage is ratings volume (205 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clean Text sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Takt sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Takt holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clean Text has 205 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Clean Text's written reviews are positive against 100% of Takt's.

Clean Text ships an update every 4 months, Takt every 2 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
