# Show Lights vs BRILLIANT Lights

The clearest difference is rating: BRILLIANT Lights at 3.6 against Show Lights's 2.9. Show Lights's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (74 vs 10). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BRILLIANT Lights holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Show Lights has 74 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Show Lights's written reviews are positive against 20% of BRILLIANT Lights's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Show Lights ships an update fortnightly, BRILLIANT Lights every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
