# iScanner vs Scanner App

The clearest difference is ratings volume: iScanner at 1.4M against Scanner App's 191. iScanner also leads on chart position (#3 vs unranked). Scanner App's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iScanner sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Scanner App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for iScanner against 4.8 for Scanner App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iScanner has 1.4M ratings behind it against 191, so its average is the more settled of the two.
