# شعلة vs Bites

The clearest difference is review sentiment: شعلة at 88% against Bites's 43%. شعلة also leads on ratings volume (24K vs 2.2K) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Bites's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. شعلة sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Bites sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bites holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: شعلة has 24K ratings behind it against 2.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of شعلة's written reviews are positive against 43% of Bites's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

شعلة ships an update every 3 weeks, Bites fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
