# Rust Bucket vs FOURWORD

The clearest difference is rating: FOURWORD at 5.0 against Rust Bucket's 4.0. FOURWORD also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Rust Bucket's advantage is ratings volume (177 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rust Bucket sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and FOURWORD sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FOURWORD holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rust Bucket has 177 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rust Bucket ships an update every 6 weeks, FOURWORD every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
