# Leaf vs Outside

Leaf and Outside both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 92% of Leaf's written reviews are positive against 52% of Outside's. Outside's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 22). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Leaf sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Outside sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Leaf against 4.7 for Outside. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Outside has 2.8K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 92% of Leaf's written reviews are positive against 52% of Outside's.

Leaf ships an update every 5 days, Outside every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
