# Alert 360 vs Control4

The clearest difference is rating: Alert 360 at 4.1 against Control4's 3.6. Alert 360 also leads on ratings volume (625 vs 70). Control4's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (38% vs 26%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alert 360 holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alert 360 has 625 ratings behind it against 70, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Alert 360's written reviews are positive against 38% of Control4's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alert 360 ships an update every 2 months, Control4 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
