# ÖBB Tickets vs BusExpress

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BusExpress at 67% against ÖBB Tickets's 21%. BusExpress also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (3 vs 1). ÖBB Tickets's advantage is rating (1.9 vs 1.0) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ÖBB Tickets holds the better App Store score, 1.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ÖBB Tickets has 158 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of ÖBB Tickets's written reviews are positive against 67% of BusExpress's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ÖBB Tickets ships an update fortnightly, BusExpress every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
