# Simple Timetable vs School Timetable

The clearest difference is rating: School Timetable at 4.5 against Simple Timetable's 2.8. School Timetable also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 7 months). Simple Timetable's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price and review sentiment there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. School Timetable sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Simple Timetable asks for nothing beyond the download.

School Timetable holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: School Timetable has 438 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Simple Timetable's written reviews are positive against 68% of School Timetable's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Simple Timetable ships an update every 7 months, School Timetable weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
