# SkillLane vs CLASS101

SkillLane and CLASS101 both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of SkillLane's written reviews are positive against 39% of CLASS101's. CLASS101's advantage is ratings volume (547 vs 71). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkillLane sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and CLASS101 sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for SkillLane against 4.6 for CLASS101. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CLASS101 has 547 ratings behind it against 71, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of SkillLane's written reviews are positive against 39% of CLASS101's.

SkillLane ships an update every 2 months, CLASS101 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
