# Instrument Connect vs RSS Go

The clearest difference is rating: RSS Go at 5.0 against Instrument Connect's 2.9. Instrument Connect's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RSS Go holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Instrument Connect has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
