# Flying Calmly vs Turbulence Forecasts

The clearest difference is rating: Flying Calmly at 4.8 against Turbulence Forecasts's 3.0. Flying Calmly also leads on ratings volume (827 vs 2) and chart position (#161 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flying Calmly sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Turbulence Forecasts sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flying Calmly holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flying Calmly has 827 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of Flying Calmly's written reviews are positive against 100% of Turbulence Forecasts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flying Calmly ships an update every 2 weeks, Turbulence Forecasts weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
