# Keepd vs Notesnook

The clearest difference is rating: Notesnook at 4.7 against Keepd's 4.0. Notesnook also leads on ratings volume (672 vs 4). Keepd's advantage is review sentiment (87% vs 79%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Keepd sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year and Notesnook sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notesnook holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notesnook has 672 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Keepd's written reviews are positive against 79% of Notesnook's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Keepd ships an update weekly, Notesnook every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
